Dedicated to Bridget O'Brien (1927-2003). Born in Limerick city, Ireland she was a woman who was Nana to so many. She opened her home with her love of cooking and her generosity and hospitality to all those she met. She was quite a character who would sing a song for you or recite Shakespeare at the drop of a hat.
Nana’s Irish Pub was established by Limerick City native Philomena O'Brien in 2007. The family moved back to the United States in 1990 after spending ten years in County Clare, where she and her husband Brian experienced the pleasure of raising their three children in the Irish countryside.
After moving to the Oregon Coast from the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, Nana's Irish Pub became a part of the Nye Beach community of Newport, Oregon in January, 2008.
"My goal is to fill our restaurant with the tastes, sounds, and experiences of our Irish heritage." From hearty pot pies to our house beer battered Fish N' Chips, delicious Reuben sandwiches and home-made soups and salad dressings." We hope to have something for everyone. To accompany the tasty cuisine we offer imported beers on tap, a nice selection of wines, speciality cocktails, as well as a full bar of spirits and liqueurs.
As of January 31, 2022 due to Philomena's retirement the ownership and sale of Nana's Irish Pub has been transferred and entrusted to Nana's loyal employee of 10 years, Miss Alexandria White. Alex has her heart in Nana's and will take on the theme of welcoming and serving all who enter here.
My thank you to all of our customers who have made Nana's a success over these past 13 years. You will be in good hands with Alex for the years to come. Philomena
